Opening exhibition Look for Art Gallery called Bear Market

Look for Art Gallery opened its doors in Amsterdam on Friday the 27th of April in a location that could not fit its chosen theme any better. The financial district of “ De Zuidas” where the gallery will open up with “ The Bear Market” is probably quite familiar with the subject.

These times of crisis can make art a more solid investment than options or shares. Creativity can be refreshing tool to take another look at changing markets.

The works of Pipsqueak was here!!! Will be accompanied by the ones of 4 promising London based artists. Schoony, Matt Small, Zeus and Giles Walker will join forces with Pipsqueak was here !!! To shine their light on the current events in the world of economics and other curiosities.

Pipsqueak was here!!! will be introduced and has made their logo into one of the main themes of the works shown. Their logo of a girl holding a bear is taking the main stage in their recent developments. The relation between the girl and the bear is constantly shifting. Pipsqueak was here!!! is at play describing the tension between human nature and nature in general.

Schoony will show his latest work, “The little Banker”. You cannot start at a young enough age understanding the world of cash. Schoony uses a casting technique in a perfect manner, having an enormous experience in this field working in modern cinema since the age of 15.

Matt Small shows us his personal view; in a wild painting style he catches character in a way only he can. The paint seems to explode in various colours from the centre outwards leaving you staring someone in the face. The surfaces he paints on are not limited to canvas.

Zeus will show you how to play with money in a way that looks slightly familiar with the other games we play.
